This may be conducted by one of our foster parents or a local volunteer. Rather than a loud, boisterous pet store or unknown location, the foster will schedule your meet & greet at a place the dog is comfortable, allowing their personality to shine! The interview process allows the foster to determine if your family is a good fit for the dawg, because they know the dogs in their home best! Our philosophy is to find the right family for the dog and the right dog for the family. Our cats are available for adoption at several PetSmart stores in the Denver metro area.We are a Colorado dog rescue focused on saving dogs from abusive and neglectful situations. We hold adoption events most weekends to find forever homes for our rescued animals. We take care of homeless animals at our new shelter and also rely on our foster parents who lovingly care for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens until they are ready for spay/neuter and adoption. We also spay/neuter Soul Dog Rescue's dogs and cats at the clinic before they are available for adoption. At the clinic, we provide low-cost spay/neuter services for other rescue groups and for the public. In 2018, we acquired a spay/neuter clinic and animal shelter in Fort Lupton, Colorado. ![]() Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost on the reservations. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare, advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. All donations made to Soul Dog Rescue go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives. I am very thankful that our Rez dogs have really great people who come out & donate their time to help control the dog & cat population. They spend so much time traveling to the rez and saving so many animals. Spaying and neutering is the only way to control the pet population. I have fostered for several rescues and hands down, this is the best rescue I have ever worked with! Not only do they do adoptions, but they provide so much more.
